Neil Diamond's Greatest Hits Live by Rob Garrett
The legendary Rob Garrett’s “KING OF DIAMONDS” Vegas residency show CONTINUES ON in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.
Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.
More than just being one of the top-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also created and performed the songs of a generation — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.
In January 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences worldwide through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.
Ask Alexa “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.
Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In May 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to Las Vegas, where, two years later, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.
In 1995, Garrett was selected by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.
What was meant to be a limited run turned into a three-year success.
By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.
He began a nationwide performance schedule, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”
He continues to sell out theaters nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.
Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas seating chart Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..
Alexis Park Resort Hotel is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
